Automations - Extract Proxy

You can create a proxy object from a design block result (output) data port by right-clicking on the data port and selecting the Create Proxy option. The proxy is a container for the output type. You can access properties, methods, and events for the proxy through the Object Inspector. Proxy objects are commonly use to work with complex data types.

For example, in the automation shown below, creating a proxy from the Contact output data port of the MicrosoftOutlook.FindContact method lets you the properties of the Contact object.

 

Note: Studio assigns proxy objects to the Local tab of the automation by default.
